EI-Hub Sandbox Experience

EI-Hub Sandbox Experience

Dear Early Intervention Colleague,

First, thank you to everyone who has and is continuing to work with the EI-Hub Project Team to gain access to the EI-Hub Sandbox and begin exploring the functionality of the EI-Hub. Although the roll out of the Sandbox has been more challenging than anticipated, the Bureau and PCG believe the Sandbox will provide system users with hands on experience that will help to prepare for the launch of the EI-Hub and provide a head start on learning the features of the new Early Intervention case management system. We know you are all eager to get into the Sandbox and these delays in gaining access have been frustrating. We want to reiterate our commitment to making this a meaningful learning experience for you and reassure you all that there will be ample time to explore the Sandbox before the EI-Hub launch. While no official launch date for the EI-Hub has been announced, please be aware that the Department and the EI-Hub Project Team will provide approximately two months lead time before the scheduled launch date.

At the initial Sandbox kick off in August, the Project Team made recommendations about timing for Sandbox entry and a suggested week to week schedule for Sandbox activity in the EI-Hub Sandbox Facilitation Guide. Please be aware that the Sandbox will remain open for several more weeks, and users will have sufficient time to gain experience and explore the EI-Hub. As we work together to provide users access to the Sandbox, please consider the EI-Hub Sandbox Facilitation Guide workflows as a recommendation for timelines beginning when your access starts, with the first several days of access for User Role Administrators devoted to adding agency or municipal users and for municipal users to add de-identified or fictional child information and referrals.

We appreciate all our users who have reached out to PCG and the Bureau for support in gaining access to the Sandbox and for the people who have been in the Sandbox and identified bugs or issues with system functionality. While the project team is working to resolve issues with access and fix identified bugs within the system, we encourage users to continue to communicate with us when you experience problems or have feedback. If you are having problems accessing the EI-Hub Sandbox or identify bugs in the system that prevent you from moving forward, please email the PCG Call Support Center at HubSandbox@pcgus.com.

We are also excited to announce the opportunity for end users to provide further feedback and suggestions based on your experience in the EI-Hub Sandbox through our recently launched EI-Hub Sandbox Feedback Form which is available upon logging into the Sandbox under the EI-Hub System News area. This form is an opportunity for you to provide ongoing feedback on the EI-Hub Sandbox experience. Your feedback may include suggestions for new feature recommendations, letting us know if there are areas in the EI-Hub that are difficult to navigate, and thoughts on training resources you are accessing or providing recommendations for new training resources that you think would be helpful. You can complete this form at your convenience and are not limited in the number of times you can submit the form.

The Bureau and PCG will be hosting an additional User Role Administrator Webinar in September to provide further guidance and support on provisioning access to the Sandbox as a User Role Administrator, providing access for additional agency or municipal users, and the assignment of their user roles. We look forward to talking to you so please be on the lookout for the registration information.

As always, thank you for your dedication to the Early Intervention Program and our efforts to modernize our case management system to better meet the needs of the families, providers, and the Early Intervention Program.

Kindest regards,

Raymond Pierce

Director, Bureau of Early Intervention
